Tablet PCs To Takeover Laptops By 2015!
Tablet PCs are gaining a lot of popularity these days and with the low end tablet PCs entering the market, the market is growing even hotter. According to a report, tablet PCs are expected to overtake laptop shipments in next two years by 2015.
Currently, Apple is leading the tablet PCs segment with its iPads and then there is Kindle Fire by Amazon, both of these brands are a lot more famous in the US market. And yesterday was the biggest shopping day for buying smart devices as it was ‘Black Friday’. All the major brands came out with deals and discounts on their products on this specific day and iPads and Kindle Fire tablet PCs were the first ones to go off the shelves.
Richard Shim, analyst, DisplaySearch forecasted, “A total of 21.5 million tablet PCs will be sold in the run-up to Christmas this year,” reports the Daily Mail.
According to the report, the shipment expected for laptop computer remains at 14.6 million. This is the first quarter when tablet PCs have exceeded the sales of notebooks. Also, it was reported that around 80 million tablet PCs are expected to be sold in North America, against 64 million laptops, next year.
