Samsung Galaxy Note III To Be Powered By Snapdragon 800
The latest rumours from Samsung’s homeland, Korea, suggests that the upcoming Galaxy Note III may be powered by Qualcomm’s top rated Snapdragon 800 instead of its octa-core Exynos.
If the buzz holds any truth, Samsung is either facing some issues in manufacturing its self-made chipset or its just that the Korean manufacturing giant considers that the Snapdragon 800 is more powerful and a cheaper option. Unlike the company’s own Exynos chipset, the Snapdragon 800 processor is embedded with LTE radio, whereas a third-party hardware is required to enable LTE support on Exynos.
The Snapdragon 800 processor packs a quad-core Krait 400 processor, which is clocked up to 2.3GHz. Adreno 330 GPU manages the graphics of the handset and supports up to 4K video playback and recording. Snapdragon 800 supported by a new gen LTE chip supports up to 300Mbps downlink, up to 75Mbps uplink and 7.1-channel sound.
In addition to the rumoured processor, it is expected that Samsung Galaxy Note III will pack a grand 15.24-cm (6-inch) Super AMOLED display screen, over 2 GB of RAM, a 13 plus Mega Pixel camera and ofcourse an S-Pen.
It is expected that Samsung will announce the Galaxy Note III at upcoming event at IFA in Berlin in September and will launch it soon after.
