Nokia’s Normandy Android Smartphone Leaked With Custom Android Interface

Specifications of Nokia’s rumoured Android-based smartphone have reportedly been revealed in a brand new leak. Twitter leaker @evleaks has posted images of the device on the micro-blogging website. The images show an user interface that is very similar to Nokia’s Asha series of smartphones, except with the Android interface.

The device, codenamed Normandy, has been in the news for quite some time now. It will come with a custom Android interface as opposed to earlier reports, which said that the Finnish company is working on a forked version of Android for their device. The report also said that the smartphone will be a part of the low-priced segment alongside the Asha series. The difference though would be the availability of Android apps, which would eliminate the limitations of the S40 OS in the Asha smartphones.

Further, the images show that the new Nokia smartphone will have dual-SIM support. There are also images of the phone with lock screen notifications and an ongoing call screen, which looks a lot like the Android app Viber. In addition, there is a login screen for the Microsoft Skype app as well.

According to the leak, the smartphone may not have any on-screen navigation keys. The tweet by @evleaks simply said, “Android on Nokia ( -virtual buttons).”
