Lenovo Unveils IdeaPad Yoga In India; Starting At Rs 61,790
Lenovo has finally introduced its Windows 8 tablet IdeaPad Yoga range in India. The Idea Pad Yoga was unveiled by the Chinese manufacturer at CES 2012. While the Yoga 11 comes with a 29.4-cm (11.6-inch) display and runs on Windows RT OS, the Yoga 13 is equipped with a 33.8-cm (13.3-inch) dual-hinged screen of 1600 x 900 resolution and runs latest Windows 8 OS.
The devices are powered by a Nvidia Tegra 3 and 3rd generation i7/i5 Intel core processors, 2 GB and 4/8 GB RAM. Yoga 11 has a storage of up to 64 GB eMMC and Yoga 13 has a SSD storage of 128 GB. Both the devices have been bundled with a 1 MP HD web cam. Features like USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HDMI, card reader are loaded in the hybrid laptops. Lenovo has priced the Idea Pad Yoga 11 at Rs 61,790 and Idea Pad 13 at Rs 84,290. The tablets will reach stores next week.
So, this basically completes the Windows 8-enabled device line-up to makes its Indian entry. While it is still early to talk about the viability of these devices considering the infancy nature of the latest operation system from Windows, we believe that by the mid 2013, the industry will be able to analyse the success of these hybrid devices.
The one device that has missed Indian entry this year is the Surface tablet from the software company, which is expected to be available in India sometime early next year.
