The news of next version of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS is to power Desktop and Server is a great joy to us ,the new OS and how it’s optimised for desktops and laptops as well as support for high pixel density (DPI) screens, there’s another good news coming from Canonical.Canonical has announced that Trusty Tahr will also power the first breed of Ubuntu tablets on launch.
Mark Shuttleworth, Canonical founder had earlier revealed that the world will see the advent of the first Ubuntu-powered tablets as early as autumn this year. It follows the plan , then tablets running Ubuntu will hit the market ‘simultaneously’ with the first Ubuntu smartphones
(Tablets) will arrive pretty much simultaneously with phones. Q3, middle of this year we’ll see both phones and tablets running Ubuntu on the market.

Ubuntu’s latest release for the desktop brings huge change in performance improvements. Users will notice a slicker experience, with improvements to the Unity (user interface). The release also includes all the tools required for business use including remote delivery of applications, compatibility with Windows file formats, browser-based cloud solutions and the Microsoft Office compatible LibreOffice suite.
