MobiKwik Announces New Bill Payment Options across Utilities
MobiKwik, India’s fastest growing mobile (m) wallet player today announced the launch of its new bill payment services. Consumers can now pay all their utility bills – including telecom – mobile and landline, electricity, insurance and gas, via their MobiKwik m-wallet.
In order to provide the convenience of multiple online utility bill payments, MobiKwik has realized tie-ups with Airtel landline, TATA Teleservices (CDMA), MTNL in telecom, Reliance Energy, BSES Rajdhani, BSES Yamuna, MSEB Mumbai, North Delhi Power in electricity, ICICI Prudential, TATA AIG life insurance for Life Insurance and Mahanagar Gas. The inclusion of these new service options will enable users of MobiKwik to securely and conveniently pay all their utility bills online, via the MobiKwik wallet. By adding money to their MobiKwik m-wallet by credit or debit card or through the facility of doorstep collection, users can make payments for services and recharges in one click, or via an SMS or by dialling a number.

Customers can purchase recharge vouchers, SMS packs, tariff vouchers and other products from leading mobile operators through their MobiKwik wallet. According to a recent survey* 80% per cent of bills in India are paid at the biller’s office, of which 90% are cash payments. Nearly 15% of bills are paid online either through online banking which is primarily available for the banked population or through the biller’s website, which would require the user to visit multiple websites.
