Tablets are getting a lot more attention from government as they emphasise on the use of technology for educational purpose and tablet serves the purpose all right. The latest announcement came in from Jharkhand where the chief minister of the state has said that the government will provide tablets to all those students who have passed matriculation. Discussions are on with the centre regarding the distribution of tablets.
Celebrating state’s foundation day, Arjun Munda, chief minister, Jharkhand said that his government would avoid paperwork and will completely computerise all the departments. “Calling the year ahead as the ‘Year for the Youth and Skill Development’, the chief minister said his government would aim to provide employment to each youth. He said about 25 lakh youths would benefit with the funds earmarked in the next five-year plan,” reported Business Standard.
Last year was marked as the “Year for the Girl Child”, and several families were at the receiving end of this plan and were benefited during the time frame. The success of the previous year has encouraged the government to take some more effective steps in different categories so this year has been selected for the youths and skill development.
Munda also said that all the welfare schemes will be available for the people via Aadhaar card. He believes that the use of Unique Identity will avoid all the middleman and this way everybody can enjoy the benefits offered by the government.
