Huawei H2 Tablet To Be Launched In India Soon!

The Indian tablet market is growing exponentially over the past couple of years with more than 905,000 tablets sold in the first quarter of 2013 alone. Both multinational and domestic vendors are selling a variety of devices and at different price ranges. While with companies like Apple, only premium buys will be able to afford it, but there are affordable solutions too for the low end buyers from domestic companies like Micromax. Most of the tablets run on Google’s Android platform. Huawei too desires to grab the opportunity while it lasts and has plans to launch the H2 soon for Indian consumers.

This launch announcement was revealed by Victor Shan, the President of India Device Business Development on an event organized by Huawei Ascend Mate. The H2 tablet comes with a 17.7-cm (7-inch) display but neither the resolution nor any other specifications were revealed for the new Indian gadget. Shan did add that the H2 will be nominally priced and will be available at a price range of sub-INR 13,000. The product will be available on the shelves on the second last or last quarter of 2013.

While Shan also added that the gadget will be quite different from the Nexus 7, we have reasons to believe that the specifications of the new H2 will be similar to this Google competitor.

On a price range of Rs 13,000, we hope to compare the H2 tablet with the first generation Nexus 7 from Google which is available at a fair price of 15,999. However the real battle lies with the domestic providers of the likes of Lava, Karbonn and Micromax
