HTC One X+ With Android Jelly Bean Coming To India This Diwali!

If you are planning to buy a high-end smartphone this Diwali, you may want to wait for a few more days as HTC is all set to being One X+ to India soon. HTC One X+ is the upgraded version of One X, which will be announced at a price around the same range, said Faisal Siddiqui, country head, HTC India.

Speaking to EFYTimes.com, Siddiqui said, “HTC One X has been well received in the Indian market and we want to continue this success journey with an upgraded device called HTC One X+. One X+ comes with an upgraded processor and Android Jelly Bean operating system. From the feedbacks that we have got for HTC One X, we realised that our customers want support for Indian languages as well. We have introduced support for 10 Indian languages in HTC One X+. This support will be extended to other HTC devices as well.”

The company touts that HTC One X+ will bring the design, camera and authentic audio experience of the HTC One series combined, with increased performance, longer battery life and expanded internal storage of 64GB.

Siddiqui said, “The device will be available in all retail stores across India before Diwali.” It is worth mentioning here that HTC has plans to introduce two Windows Phone 8 based devices for this festive season as well.

Since HTC sees India as a hot destination for smartphones, the company is also planning to expand its retail presence and the number of service centres. Siddiqui informed, “We have operned over 150 service centres across India. We plan to double this number one year’s time. We have a presence in over 100 cities and we recently launched our first concept store on New Delhi. More concept stores in our metros are in the pipeline.”
