It can’t get better! Technology is really driving India in an unexpected direction. A China-based company called SmartNaMo, which is established by some Gujarati businessmen, is all set to launch a smartphone in the honour of state chief minister Narendra Modi. SmartNaMo is also working to establish a smartphone assembly unit in Gandhinagar, where its NaMo branded devices, including both smartphones and feature phones, will be assembled.
The company has plans to launch the Narendra Modi branded smartphones by August end, reported The Mobile Indian. According to the source quoted in the report, “SmartNaMo is giving finishing touches to a smartphone which will be launched in order to show appreciation to Narendra Modi for the work he has done in Gujarat. In the next couple of week SmartNaMo team will present the smartphone to Narendra Modi and request him to grant permission to use his signature in all the NaMo branded smartphone.”
The SmartNaMo smartphone will be based on Android and will sport a 12.5-cm (5-inch) IPS panel display with full HD (1920x 1080) pixels) resolution. It will be packed with Gorilla Glass 2 for protection from scratches. Along with these, it will feature a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. On the memory front, the SmartNaMo will have 2 GB RAM and 32 GB inbuilt memory, also offering an extended memory of up to 32 GB through the microSD card slot.
