Now, get 1250 MB of free data with Rs 98 GPRS pack for prepaid users and Rs 89 for postpaid subscribers.
The new GPRS plan will be priced at Rs 125 for prepaid subscribers and Rs 111 for postpaid users. Wit this, users will get to use a maximum of 2 GB of data. One of the added advantages of this plan is that the data can be used for both ‘home and roam’ pan India. Major private telecommunication operators recently have cut there 2G data plans to 1GB for around Rs 98.
BSNL has recently launched its telephones with support for video calling and now the Video Call Offices (VCOs) will be replacing the Public Call Offices (PCOs). BSNL has tied up with SIS Infosystems to set up VCO all over the country and for a call session of 45 seconds, customer will be charged Rs 3. According to R K Upadhyay, chairman and MD, BSNL, “We will convert existing PCOs to VCOs with the new BSNL phones. Through this innovative service, people will be able to make voice calls to any phone and Video calls to any other IP phone.”
He also said that BSNL earns its maximum revenue through landline phones and this new initiative by the firm will increase its revenue. Also, it has been revealed that around 770 PCOs have confirmed to shift their business to VCOs and BSNL is targeting to have 10,000 VCOs set-up across the country.
