BlackBerry 9720 – Budget Smartphone

BlackBerry recently announced the new budget smartphone codenamed as 9720, which is running BlackBerry OS 7.1. Blackberry recent conference call regarding its Q1 earnings announced that although they moved to the BlackBerry 10, the company will bring a phone running OS 7 to be released before the end of the year.

And just last month, we saw the BlackBerry 9720 when the leak. The new device sports a 7.1 cm (2.8-inch) (480 x 360 pixels) capacitive touch screen display with 246 PSI and a full QWERTY keyboard. The device is powered by a 806 MHz processor and it runs on BlackBerry OS 7.1. Smartphone also sports a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and a dedicated BBM key, which is user customizable.

New BlackBerry 9720 comes with a black, white, pink, blue and purple colors. The device will be available in selected markets in Asia, EMEA and Latin America. There is no information yet on pricing
