Apple has been taking its own sweet time with the rumoured iWatch. According to recent reports though, the Cupertino-based technology giant will finally launch its device next year. That would be just after an year of Samsung coming out with its Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch. In an exclusive report published by Ctech, it was said that Apple would release its iWatch in October 2014. The device is estimated to be priced at $199.
Furthermore, from the iWatch, Apple is now rumoured to be working on two such watches. Both of these smartwatches are apparently going to be running on 100 mAh batteries and a version of the iOS operating system. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Gear has a 315 mAh battery.
The Ctech report said that the Apple iWatch will be able to connect to a wireless charging device from 3.2 feet away. According to a report by PhoneArena, the iWatch’s wireless charging would not be as per the Qi standards, rather Apple is apparently going to use a magnetic resonance system.
Apple has made no official comment on the iWatch’s existence, specifications or availability till date.
