Amazon Kindle Fire HD Tablet Launches In 170 Countries

Amazon has officially announced that its Kindle Fire HD tablet range will now be available for users in more than 170 countries. This news comes on the heels of Amazon launching its Android app store in more than 190 countries, which includes India as well.

Amazon Kindle Fire tablets till date were available only in select markets but with the intention to match-up the likes of Google Nexus 7 and even Apple iPad, the US-based company has decided now is the time to go for the kill. The company is offering its 17.7-cm (7-inch) and 22.6-cm (8.9-inch) display based Kindle tablets priced at an affordable range of $214 and $284 for 16 GB variant, while the 32 GB model is priced at $244 and $314 respectively.

According to a press release issued by the company, interested consumers can pre-order any of these tablets right now and these will be shipped starting from 13 June.

However, the delivery option of the tablet is not available in the Indian market for the time being, which can definitely change in the coming months. Considering that the Appstore has been launched in 195 countries, we assume India will be part of the next set of markets.

Earlier we had reported that Amazon had joined hands with Redington to distribute Kindle products in the country and we are hoping that the Fire HD tablets are part of the agreement.
