Karbonn Introduces Ta Fone A39 HD Tablet At Rs 8,990
Karbonn Mobiles has launched its latest Android-based tablet in the country and priced it at sub Rs 10,000 mark. The company has launched a slew of tablets under the Ta Fone brand name and is marketing it aggressively across varied mediums and there is a new addition with A39 HD, priced at Rs 8,990.
In terms of hardware, there is not much of a difference and compared to A37, this one sports a HD display and comes with single SIM-slot only for 2G/3G calling. The A39 HD sports a 17.7-cm (7-inch) display and runs Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean version.
The slate packs a 1 GHz dual-core processor alongwith 512 MB RAM. It comes fitted with a 2 MP rear and VGA front-facing camera for video calling as well. For connectivity, there are a plethora of options like 3G/2G usage via SIM-slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi hot-spot and features like G-Sensor also. The tablet has a 2 GB internal storage space, expandable up to 32 GB via microSD slot. Karbonn has loaded the A39 HD tablet with a 3,000 mAh battery.
The tablet may sport an HD display, but the overall hardware specs do not make for good reading. When you consider this price, you’ll find better offerings these days at lower pricing. Lava E-tab Xtron is one such option at Rs 6,990 and Acer Iconia B1 among others.
